Body Found Burning Along Hutchinson River Parkway

A man's body was found burning along the Hutchinson River Parkway by police after receiving a 911 call.

The incident took place in Pelham Bay around 12:20 a.m., Monday, June 15, when police responded to a reported fire, said the NYPD.

New York City firefighters extinguished the flames discovered the unidentified male who was deceased, NYPD said.

An investigation is underway and police are awaiting results from the medical examiner's office.
